1998 Ranger 3.0L V6 4WD.
I have a gushing leak of gas from under the chassis, about halfway down the fuel rail. It appears to come from the fuel pressure damper? That's a guess. The "damper" has what looks like a quick release snap-on device attaching both the forward and aft fuel line. Do I need a special tool to release the lines? Regards and Thank, in anticipation. |

that sounds like th efuel filter to me and u may need a special tool to get it apart it could be easy or very hard depending on how rusty or curroded the filter could be i had too cut mine off when i replaced it because the previous owner put the wrong filter on so go to ur local auto parts store and they will provide u with the tool and the correct filter good luck!!
