A little off topic, but hang on to that Ranger. I read yesterday that Ford will no longer be producing them
I belong to www.fordrangerforum.com and spend most of my time there. It is old news that the Ranger is being discontinued in less than 3 weeks, however, a couple articles I read on other sites and supposedly confirmed by "friends of friends" indicate that Ford has a possible redesign/relaunch of a small to medium sized pick-up within the next couple years (after retooling). The Ranger used to be produced in multiple plants in the U.S. (Trenton, N.J. and Minneapolis/St.Paul for sure and possibly one other place at one time). Anyway, Chevy is reintroducing a small pick-up, and once the Ranger stops production, the Twin Cities Plant closes unless production of something else is transfered or taken over there. I love my Ranger, and I do not ever want to give up having a small truck. Many, including myself, feel that Ford is making a huge mistake if they let the Ranger badge die. It will be very interesting to see how things play out.
