Short trips with undersized spare

I recently upgraded to 256/70R17 and haven't gotten around to getting a spare in the same size. I had to put my spare on today and limp back home. The spare is a 245/65R17. I could tell my truck didn't like having 1 tire smaller. I had to drive about 7 miles and kept the speed under 35 MPH. Could this have caused any damage to my Auto 4wd?

I'm taking the spare to get a used 265/70R17 tomorrow though so I can at least drive my truck.

Hopefully not. You could always pull the fuse that turns on the 4x4 auto next time and put the spare on one of the fronts. I don't remember which fuse that was though.

That is why you take care of that situation before hand, or I would have called a tow truck, your insurance should pay/ cover a tow.

time for the bwm and truthfully when i had a mini blowout, i actually could feel the auto engaging and disingaging which scared me so in order to make it to the nearest parking lot, idk a half mile away i just turned on 4x4 that way auto cant chew u the gears all that will happen is i chew up a bit of tire instead, which are much cheaper than a transfer case rebuild
