Hello all, first time here and nowhere else to turn. I have driven my 98 in all types of driving and cant get the evap system mon to be ready. no codes are showing. tank has been half to 3/4. and still nothing. I cant get through inspection without it being ready. Any ideas as to why it would not become ready after driving over 1500 miles. highway, stop and go ext.? Thanks for all the help!!!!

Don't know why it won't run the test but Ford has an interesting ability in the obd test system. If you clear the codes (it doesn't matter if any codes are stored or not) and then start the engine without turning the key off, the system will run tests that normally would not run. The best way to set all of the ready codes is to do the reset then let the truck idle for at least two minutes then drive about a mile at aprox. 35 at as steady a speed as you can, then drive several miles at about 55, again at a steady speed. Hope it helps.
