jd4242 It is only an eighth inch smaller than 2.5. It didn't make a difference at all performance wise.

Cevigney So far I haven't had a problem with the water going in it. Since I put it on I haven't had to replace an air filter. Before it was every time I went through a water crossing.

Splodo49 Thank you. I like the way it looks. And it only cost me $40 band the time to fab it up.

Mine was a little more because i bought the actual safari snorkel head, i like it because it has water channels that force moisture out and it actually acts as a ram air. I usually turn it around while wheeling in the desert and other dusty environments or in the trees i have caught that thing and broke down branches and even bent my fender from the tree pulling on the snorkel.
