Are you a fan of cash back and online discount codes?

As of 4/01/2012, Ebates is giving a whopping 12% cash back on purchases from Advance Auto. In addition to cash back, they list current coupons and discount codes for online stores. You can use Advance Auto discount codes for 15% off any amount, 20% off any amount (expires 4/02/2012), $10 off $30+ purchase, $20 off $50+ purchase, or $30 off $100+ purchase AND get cash back. You can use the codes multiple times too. I've used the $20 off $50 code three times to get nearly 40% off each purchase.

These are some of the things I've bought (so far):
Felpro intake gaskets
Felpro throttle body gasket
Bosch Icon windshield wipers
Crankcase ventilation hose (actually a molded heater hose which I cut in half)
Replacement rear wiper arm for 99 Explorer
A/C compressor relay
Bussman mini fuses
Gunk motor flush
Liquid Wrench
Wagner brake pads (I almost forgot about these I bought last year with the same discount code)

I think I'm going to buy those StrongArm rear glass lift supports next. I'll have to throw in a $0.39 cotter pin or something to get to $50. I'm tired of getting knock in the head.

If you don't need parts, think about getting chemicals or maintenance supplies. You can buy online and pick up in the store to save on shipping (maybe). Chemicals can't be shipped and have to be picked up at the store.

Since I joined Ebates, I have gotten over $24 back on purchaes from Advance Auto, Newegg, Buy.com, Half.com, Sears, Kohl's, and Groupon.

I believe they are giving 4% cash back on purchases from Autozone if you just don't care for Advance Auto.

It's 4/05 and I see Ebates has dropped back down to 6% cash back on Advance Auto purchases. It seems 12% back only lasted about four days.

I use dropinsavings. A small logo pops up in the right corner of the screen when a coupon is available. Must be similar to Ebates because i had the same savings recently at advance. The cashier looked dumbfounded when I showed up to pic up Monroe shocks,front brake pads, and body to frame sway bushings for 44 bucks for my minivan. The multiple use of codes are great.

When I get a chance, I'll try one of those browser toolbar add-ons for comparison. We need to save all the money we can with these high gas prices.

It's 4/13, 1:44 AM, and I just checked Ebates. They have 12% cash back on Advance Auto purchases again. Can someone else confirm this? I just want to know if they are doing this for everyone or just a select few.

I have never used eBates.

As for online coupons, I'll dig and dig for one. I'll check Twitter and Facebook for one. I'll check on Visa's website to see if I get a discount by using my Visa. Same with Mastercard.
