Obd1(1992) rev limiter

anyone know how the rev limiter is done on a OBD1 1992?is it done by fuel cut off or spark cut off?i was told it was done by fuel cut off.

Its a fuel cut-off.

94 limited: 4.0l, 5spd swap, 6" skyjacker lift, 35x14.5 thornturds, 4.56s. 5.0 swap started (94 cobra 5.0, zf 5spd, np205)
95 xlt: stockish (SOHC swap, 30,000miles and I blew up the 3rd 4r55e...now collecting parts for a Cummins swap.)

I dont think so. I think on the sequential, its cuts out every other injector. On the batch fire, it cuts out each bank every other time it should fire.

If it just killed the power from the relay, the engine would stall.

Aww man!!that sucks.my idea was to wire the fuel pump relay to the shift light so i could set the rev limiter to what ever i want.i would shift right before the light came on and cut power.so thats out the window now
