New to the Explorer World!

I just bought a 97 Limited V8 that was used by a perfectionist so it's in near perfect condition. I'm a Park Ranger so honestly my serious 4wheelin' is normally done in the Gov pickup, but I'll use my personal Explorer for camping, towing my boat and carrying the telescope to dark mountain tops. Now to see what ya'll are up too

Explorer Virgin

Hi everyone. Just picked up a 96 Ford Explorer Eddie Baurer for my wife on Friday! We are not familiar with explorers and this is not short on problems. First of all the windows only operate from the driver side (thanks to this forum, I have figured out the problem), The blower motor does not work front or rear, speedometer goes crazy. We are looking forward to making this a new to us family vehicle. We are typically a Chevy family (I own a 99 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0L 4x4). Excited about "fixing" the minor problems my self and making this a great running vehicle.

Heck yeah on the first gen Explorer trucking45! This is the place for you! As far as mod chips go girly4x4 I haven't heard anything ground breaking, but if you search the site using the Google custom bar at the top or bottom of the forum page you may be able to find the info you are looking for.

Hey, i'm Davis. I drive a 2010 Ford Sport Trac Limited with the 6cyl 4.0. I love taking my truck offroad and might be looking for some accessories and other things of the sort in the future.
Currently, I have a brush guard, HID lighting (headlights and fogs), and a CB/PA system installed.

thats me on the right

Better than Excedrin.

I have been browsing the site for the past month and have been able to get my 94 Explorer back to near perfect running condition. I am a property manager and picked this vehicle up for $200 from an evicted tenant. She was rough but couldn't go to wrong for the small investment. I have decent ability but reading the problems and solutions from this site has been most valuable. I wanted to thank so many for sharing your experience and making my headaches short and my expenses low by fixing these issues myself with this shared wealth of knowledge. That's really why I joined today. Not normally a big sharer. Thanks to all.
