Second ride

Got my second ride in today & it's my longest. The wind died down, so got out for a 20 mile ride at 14.5 mph average which isn't good at all, but it's a start.

It's hard to believe people (including me) can find all kinds of excuses not to get out and exercise, but you feel so much better when you are finished.

Have a 38 mile ride Saturday so I hope to get another 20 mile ride in this week & I should be ready to go.

Come ride with us Saturday, most of it will be fun bike trails, but then there is a little club Hypoxia hill thrown in for some pain.

Teri is worried her back side won't make it.

I feel ya, it's like a high - afterwards, you start thinking about the next time - with greater mileage, bigger climbs, and longer faster descends. It's a drug really.

sounds fun, don't think I could keep up, plus Saturday will likely be helping a friend move then company party... fun stuff... haven't gone more than about 5 miles on the bike in a while so I need to make sure my butt can handle it.

We have between 10 & 15 people scheduled to ride, and the nice thing about our group rides are NO DROP rides. We wait for everyone.

In fact I'm sure I'll be doing some pushing for Teri. Yes, on the hills I do get beside Teri & help push her up the hills.

I guess 14 miles into the ride we are stopping for a snack at a little coffee shop in the foothills, then over our favorite bridge & back into town. I'll do my best at getting a few pictures.
