2001 Ford Explorer Sport Bad Serving
Errr..I meant SWERVING. The problem exists usually at freeway speeds. If I go over a bump or a bumpy part of the road while going fast the Explorer seems to "jump" and sway real bad from side to side. Another example: if I'm driving down the freeway and I notice that I'm swaying a bit to one side, when I turn the wheel to the other side to straighten myself out the explorer jump violently to the side I turned the wheel. It almost loses control. If I hold the steering wheel tightly when I go over a rough spot of the road I can keep the explorer from swerving...usually.
So I replaced the stab bar bushings and end links, both top and bottom ball joints, shocks, worn out body mounts, new tires and an alignment. I did not touch the inner or outer tie rods. Any ideas on what it could be? Last edited by Josh C.; 06-17-2012 at 03:35 PM. |
