Gremlins sabotage

So apparently i have Gremlins,

I went out to do the throttle cable mod, and when i took a look my clutch peddle was disconnected. there are no parts laying around the floor board or on the pavement. it just disappeared.
funny thing is i just drove it to the local convenient store a few hours ago.

If someone stole it, i hope the part they liberated took all the bad joojoo my Navajo has with it.

It just so happens that i don't have anything to put into it to fix it at the moment. this looks like a pretty strait forward fix though.

Hate it when that happens. Hope it works out for you. Often those random little parts are best sourced at a junkyard because Ford wants too much for them, or sometimes you can find something at a hardware store that will do the trick. Whatever you do make sure the repair is strong and will last - clutch pedal failure with an oncoming obstacle wouldn't be fun.

I hear you. I just went to autozone and bought a bolt and nut combo thingie. And a bushing that is supposed to be there.

Now that its cooling down i will head out there and fix it. As weird as this situation is i hope there isn't anything else wrong.

Well i went under there and attached the spacer thingie as you see in the first pic.

Then used a bolt with a lock washer and a nut with lock-tight on it. i left it just a little bit loose because the white spacer i put in "clips" onto the other side. so i made it flush with that.

to make sure it cant undo itself i used a pair of vice grips and destroyed the threading behind the nut. (not shown in pic) so i don't think i will have any issues with this ever again.
