US 97 Ranger 5 sets of 5 Beeps

Im New to this site and i really hope someone can help me. I have a 97 Ford Ranger with almost 200,000 miles on it. I LOVE this truck, ive had it its whole life, and i have NEVER had a problem with it. However, starting today when i started the truck, i heard a beeping noise comming from under the dash. The truck is running fine, except for these 5 sets of 5 beeps. They sound like an alarm clock going off.
Can anyone help me figure out what this problem is before something terrible happens.

Thanks!
Brett~

That is the backup alarm for the airbag malfunction light. When the bulb burns out or is disconnected, the 5x5 beep takes over.

You can't just turn it off. Repair the airbag light and the beeping will stop - it probably needs a new bulb.

I have same problem. Glad to hear something that made sense. My light indeed was out, and I wondered where it went to....
