Are all of the tires new? What type/tread of tires?

For trouble free auto 4wd operation, all tires must match. Mismatching tires will cause a differential in rotational speed from tire to tire, causing all kinds of whacky things to happen.

edit, since this is a "truck problem" and might not be entirely tire related, I am moving this thread to the stock 1995-2001 explorers sub forum. IMO it will always be best for you to start there for best answers.

Edit #2
Your other thread and this one may be related. If the ABS sensors report a differential in speed while braking, the faster spinning one will brake harder

Did you replace the rotor? If so, see this thread.

Hello the tread is more of an off road chunky tread more than a smooth road tyre tread thanks

Well my tires are rather meaty, and people have said it sounds like an airplane when i drive past them. The noise you are hearing very well could just be the hum of the tires. Does it change pitch according to speed?

Agreed- the style of tread may be all you're hearing. They will also change pitch and noise as they wear...
