Tire pressure monitor system reset after driving in the rain

It was pouring on my way home from work and I had to drive through water 3-4 inches deep. When I was almost home the low tire pressure warning came in. I checked the pressure in all 4 tires and they are all good.

How do I reset it on a 2012 XLT with MFT?

I stopped and put some air in my tires and it went off. Very weird. They were all at 34-35 psi. I just put 1-2 psi in each one and it worked.

Glad you got it fixed. I don’t know the fix to reset but once in the rain as well mine went off but after I turned off my car and turned it back on it reset itself. I think it may of just been a computer glitch.

Not sure if the Ford system is temperature compensated, but I assume it it. I have a similar system on a motorcycle that gave a low pressure fault after moving hot tires through cold water. And then a few minutes later, it was just fine again. It seemed that if the air volume was suddenly reduced due to the cold water, and the temperature compensation didn't keep up with it, that it could give a false fault.
