CAn you use throttle body spacers with an otherwise stock 4.0 OHV? If so, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using one?

I'm debating getting one of these, or making my own (doesn't seem that difficult).

Thanks,

Dave

You can use it, it just won't do you any good

Throttle body spacers are derived from carb spacers. Carb spacers help by separating the carb from engine heat and increasing the volume of the intake manifold. TB spacers don't do much on EFI applications. On high powered applications they might help by increasing intake runner length, but I wouldn't expect any gains on the 4.0 OHV.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the info.

Dave
