I by accident overfilled my transmission is there an over fill valve that will allow overfil to escapr Thanks

no there isnt, you need to remove it by sucking it out of the fill hole.... thats the only way i know of to only remove a little at a time.

Thanks for the reply to that question Riley,. I have a further query on the same subject. - Are there associated dangers with running an auto-trans if it is over the fill line? (Bought in that condition from a local dealer)

Don't run it while it's overfilled. Either siphon it out of the dipstick tube or disconnect one of the cooler lines to drain a little fluid. How much is it overfilled?

it is a quarter of an inch to3/8 inch over the fill line on the dipstick. I copy that Brooklyn Bay ASAP first thing in the morning I will not Imdrive it I appreciate your help

Are you checking the fluid level after driving, and on level ground?

• Fluid level must be checked at normal operating temperature, 20 miles (30 km) of driving.
