What is my tranny doin?

My tranny did something weird the other day and has been doing since. When i reverse if i give it some gas it feels like a clutch slipping, it kinda chatters even. It only does this in reverse. The trans only has about 20K on it. Also ive noticed that when in Drive 1 i can go 35 or so and let off, it will idle all the way down like its in nuetral. Is that normal? im thinking maybe my torque converter is crappin out, but i am no mechanic. So maybe one of you guys can help thanks

Reverse

Reverse is formed by the low/reverse band and the reverse/high clutch. Try putting it in manual low and pointing it down a hill with your foot off the gas. Tach should follow the speed. If engine stays at idle and the speed keeps climbing then there is something wrong with the low/reverse. If it was virgin, then I'd say the servo O ring was leaking. Just what was done to this 20K ago?
