Question MAC or JET

I am new to this site and am looking for some help, I have a limited amount of money to spend right now but wanted some insight on whether to buy the mac intake or the jet electronic shift improver. I already have the exhaust done and just a panel k&n filter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Andy

I would get a chip from Brian Apten, www.apten-us.com

He may be doing another group buy right now, check out the group buy forum.

I looked at the group buy forum and unfortunately I will not be able to afford a chip right now. It's a fair amount more than the intake or the tranny module.

I don't recommend JET products at all. In fact, I recommend staying as far from them as possible.

Their programs usually aren't thought out as well as other brand chips. In fact, many people have lost power with JET chips, this has been proven on the dyno.

Their quality control sucks, and often their products don't fit right at all. Example: their underdrive pullies.

Add to that poor customer service from what I've heard, and there are many better aftermarket parts out there.

So I guess for now I will go with the mac intake. Hopefully soon I can get the apten chip, does anyone have power increase numbers for these chips? I had a delta chip before but it would never start in the cold so I promptly sent it back.

The replies on this board are great and exceptionally prompt, I appreciate all the help.

An Apten chip could get you 20 hp at the wheels.
