CHECK the BRAKE lines see if they are long enough and if they were even installed. They left mine off altogether. Also check the alinement.

what differential is the detroit TrueTrac for? I didn't think they made them for the dana 35 or the ford 8.8.

The truetrac I have now is for the 8.8. I've been told that it just became available for the Dana, so I think I'll order it now to install it at the same time.

forbyfiev,

Since you posted that your 4" Superlift was being installed on 8-10-99, you must have it back by now. How did it come out? Not to rain on your parade, I am curious. Does your vehicle sit level now? I am asking this because I have a 91 XLT that a Superlift 4" kit with new rear springs was installed on. Since day one, the rear has sat lower than the front, to the tune of 1.5" lower. I have had the rear springs replaced once and that made it a little better - only 1.25" low, but still unsatisfactory. The front springs are measured to be within spec. I have seen on this website one or two persons complain of this same problem with the 4" Superlift kit. Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

forbyfiev, I hope yours comes out OK. Please let us know your results.

Thumbs down

It took a week to get it done and I just got a good look at it. I'm literally on the phone right now with superlift to ask them why the rear is so low. The mechanic tells me he thinks the front springs will settle more than the rear. I'll post any info I can get that's more scientific than that.
