Hey guys and gals!!

I DID IT!!! Today I had a custom add-a-leaf installed along with new clips and new spacers. Cost= $175.00. I got about 2.24" lift added to the rear. Now both my front and rear are 12.25" from top of rim to center of fender well. Looks great and ride seems to be the same. Went to Discount tire and had 31x10.5 BFG's installed, went with AT's. Again it looks great. I didn't have to touch the torsion bars. I've got B bars however my rear was sagging that much. Hitting the ranch tomorrow to test everything out, I'll keep you informed should i have problems. Pic's soon too. I parked head to head with another 98 and i seem to have about 1.5" on it. I truly appreciate this web site and everyones help, this is the greatest resource on the web. Should anyone have any questions please feel free to email me. Next is exhaust, brakes, plugs, wires and a superchip last.

Thanks

Hey Keach,

Congratulations on your new leafs and tires. I bet your truck looks even better now, I know mine does.

I had a quick question about your new shocks. I want to buy a set of Edelbrock IAS shocks soon as well, and was wondering how you like yours so far? I am guessing you bought stock replacement ones, how much did you get them for? I appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Drew I'd say they're worth the investment if your going to keep your truck for some time. I drive 50 miles to and from work on the hwy and off road while at work with clients and they give a great hwy ride and keep the trail calm. I had Monroe gas magnums "sensatracs" the originals on a 89 EB Bronco II and was not pleased. to harsh. I found them for 69.00 each at a store called Alamo High Performance here in San Antonio. Had them in stock too. Thats the best deal i could find. I've put 15K on them so far. If I can get you a phone # let me know. My office mate put gaberials on his 91 landcrusier, hated them after riding in my truck, next was bilsteins and he still wishes he would have gotten the EAS. If you add the costs together hes still spent more for what appears an inferior product

The GMS MAF had mixed results on LS1 equiped cars. Some gained and some didn't. We actually dyno'ed several and couldn't get a clear pattern of why some gained and some lost HP. I would like to get your input as well on how your GMS performed on your Explorer.

Lift, It's a wonderful thing.

I'm not quite sure how much performance i've gotten from the Gran MAF. I'm going to order the "neat" little machine which can calibrate performance soon. I've still got the orginal and I'll conduct a little experiment. The KKM made a difference for sure. With the MAF you can see the difference clearly, but go to and exhaust mod or KKM before the MAF still i play consumer watchdog.

KEACH How much performance did you get with the Granatelli MassAirFlowSensor? I saw it advertised in Performance Products catalog and was considering purchasing it for my 98 Sport. Did it give you a noticeable performance improvement? Do you think the price is justified?

Unhappy

Carpartsonsale ow has the Edelbrocks for $69.31 a piece. Unless someone nows of a good deal out there from them looks like they are just as much as others now. Oh well. To those who ordered before the price hike, you lucky dogs.:P
