Airplanes are held together with rivets. They aren't pop rivets, but they are rivets.

So since I love the Explorer so far I just plan to stick with'er. The alignment I got back in November seems to have worked its way a little bit so will have to get that tended to. But the steering wheel is slightly sloppy and was like that before and after the rack, could it be the ujoint in the steering shaft? Would be nice to get it tight like new

It very much maybe the joint. Mine was worn and gave slack in the wheel. Swapped it out for a all steel one, and it is nice & tight again.

there are aftermarket universal upgrades out there with a real u-joint too, although come to think of it im not sure if ours had rag joints or u-joints

Just a little update for any y'all that isn't on FB, I put Raybestos Pro Grade Poly rack bushings in the truck and got her some new treads. And ripped out a rebuilt spare 4R55E for $100.00 just in case I can't find a V8 swap before this trans dies, but still wanting to do the 5spd swap too but the ole 4.0 is lacking power these days...

Tires, even with brand new, I still have no rubbing except for the frame when at full lock.

Tranny donor, took around an hour to remove.

They're 33X12.50's Mud Claw. I'm going to try replacing the o2 sensors, and a magnaflow direct fit cat setup and see if it regains its power, it does have a 194k but my 95 that's had 215k on it had more power than this truck. Good to see you back in an Explorer Todd

Explorers....what can I say? Are they bad off road?....Nope, still out there impressing Jeep guys with what it can do These tires are doing great, went on a trail in the mountains Friday night while it was raining and it gripped the rocks great. And even though its not a show truck, I took the time and painted the rear pillars on the hatch because the faded gray was ugly to look at anymore. I've also had a CEL for the purge valve on the charcoal canister and when I looked underneath the Explorer one of the lines to the fuel tank 5 inches worth of steel line was gone, rusted that bad, so I bought 1/2 inch rubber line 2 feet of it and cut the metal off to the plastic line connecting to the fuel tank...problem solved there for now...

Well the Explorer did great out wheeling on Sunday, did a little more harder stuff than usual and impressed a few folks, I didn't need pulled at all hopefully get some pics from folks then.

In the past couple months, I've replaced all three O2 Sensors, plugs/wires, PCV Valve, fixed EGR leak, fuel filter, rear shocks and I'm sure I'm forgetting something...
