Been a member on here for a little while and figured I would post in here finally.

Some of you may have seen my truck on a couple of different sites started as a stock 2005 Ford Ranger Edge that the IFS failed on. Swapped to a D30 and then a 1992.5 D60 front with a zip locker and 5.38's with a D60u rear with 32 spline shafts, welded spiders and 5.38's. Truck is sitting on 38.5's with tubed 16.5's.

Finally smoked the tranny on it and decided to heck with a 1/2T drivetrain. Time to move on to something a little more not likely to break.

Wow im definitely gonna watch this one

Got an NP205, some 4340 front shafts and yukon hardcore 35 spline hubs for the front. Next is the doubler parts (1356-205), 205 rear support and fuel cell.

35 spline 4340 shafts assembled and ground down a smidge to clear the knuckles.

Got one of the Yukon hubs installed (well both, but one doesn't lock in going to have to pull it back apart)

For now will be getting it wheelable for a couple more trips, but still have the 6.8L sitting in the garage next to it. Trying to decide if I should tear it down and refresh the motor any...Going to try and mate a C6 behind it into a NV271/NP205 doubler with front dig.

Cant wait to see this

Throttle body and ECU in. Luckily this is a cable TB and not an electric one makes the swap about a million times better.

Should have it started as soon as I have the cash saved up to snag a welder. No point in pulling the old one without a way to put the new one in :p

Way old but did this ever take place?

I like it, will be really cool.

I know all about the wife preggers toy fund goes away... :)

Checking for clearances. Motor fits with room to spare, this is with the rad in the stock location even. Drivers side motor mount is going to be a fiasco however...

Basic gist of the motor mounts plans. Plate on the block is 3/8th, the pair of ramps is 1/4. I am however out of gas...so tack with flux and purchase some 75/25 monday.

First off I hate flux core, but was out of gas and everything is closed. Penetration is good and I lifted the truck with the mount so I assume its fine. Have to work later today so only got one mount done. Other side will mimic this one.

finished up the engine side mounts and frame side. I think they seem strong enough, whats everyone else think?

motor is a bit taller than the hood I haven't decided what I want to do with that yet.

rad clearance and power steering/trans cooler. should be able to run push/pull with slim lines.
