I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Dr Wagon Sport Utility with a 4.0L V6 FI SOHC. It is 4WD.

I picked up a speed sensor, though I can't seem to find where to install it anywhere. Any pictures/diagrams or advice is so appriciated.

On the rear differential is only the ABS sensor, and I can't seem to find the same sensor near the front. I can't seem to find it anywhere on the transmission...do I need to remove something?

The sensor looks like this:

I purchased it from FORD...is it possible they gave me the wrong sensor?

Where do I install this? Help please...

it is on the rear differential.
It is on top and is surprisingly easy to get to.
I have done it on my 2000 sport ( same truck as yours ) It is right on top of the diffy' and the only thing on there with a wire coming out of it.

i have the same sensor where do i put it thx

If you've got a 98+ you don't, that is the wrong part. If you have an earlier year it is in the transmission or t-case if you have 4x4.

I have a 95 Sport Manual and I cant locate speed sensor...anyone know of the location.

Thanks
