in 20 years ive owned 3 sports as daily drivers and 6 as parts trucks , i remember buying my first one a year old 93 sport 2 wheel drive i hadnt intended to buy it it was a spur of the moment thing, but it started a 20 year love affair.

i did very minimal mods to the first one but still put 380km on her and never got stuck.

my second sport was a 98 heavily modified and a dd for 6 years 527km on her when i finaly decided to retire her ,mechanicly she was sound but frame and body was an ongoing battle with rust that i was slowly losing















hardest thing ive done was scrapping my old girl but if i found the perfect replacment i would and i did, after stripping the old Sport for every usable part the build started on the new truck


she was a one owner low mileage Sport with every option and the right colour, had a dent in the fender and a cracked front facia but it was love at first site.

the new truck has had the usual tt and shackles Ranchos up front load adjusts in the rear 4 door leaf pack and a Super lift long add a leaf plus a 3 inch body lift , i backed off the tt once the lift was in much nicer ride and running 33 inch tires, still a work in progress but very happy with the new truck

had a lot of fun working on this truck my son has always helped but finaly at an age where he can dig right in

That's a beautiful sport. Searched all your threads but maybe I missed it; what snorkel is that? Perfect fit.

Nice ride! Did you dip the rims and the trim or paint?

My last sport I dipped it all this time I painted with satin black

That's probably what I need to do, I have my rims dipped and have to touch them up about once every few months...how hard was it to pull the trim off?

Also, where did you get the extra trim pieces?

Sport trac fender flares found them on eBay the name and model is listed in the sport pic thread

didn't notice the fender flares earlier, i really like how they look... since you said they are for the sport trac, i'm sure the front fits perfectly, did you have to modify anything when installing in the rear? i need to get some of these - look cool and serve a purpose!

Hey Jenn nope didn't modify a thing just positioned them how I wanted and attached simple as that, I did add extra screws just to be sure and have had no issues .


You wouldn't think they'd fit the rear but they do just line them up with the body lines youl see what I mean, these are getting very hard to find hope u can find 4

Anyways I can't find the part no to thos fender flares, could anyone direct me in the right direction?

Can't remember the code but they are EGR fender flares for a 01 to 05 sport trac good luck finding any when I bought mine there was still a lot available now all seem sold out
