2006 Stereo, no lights

New to the world of owning a Explorer. My 2006 has the CD/radio (stock) system in it. The radio lights did work for a while but now they don't. The radio works fine, I just don't know what station or what any of the settings are on.
Im sure this has been asked before, but can this be fixed or does it have to be replaced.

I believe that's a soldering fix, it has been known to be fixed by unplugging and plugging back in the radio, but if that doesn't work you'll have to replace your radio or have solder it/have it soldered

Psychotical thanks for the soldering fix tip, I have searched the forum for threads on this but I have come up empty. Can you point me in the right direction or tell us more about where the connection problem is?

I have a 98 Mountaineer if that makes a difference.
