Looks really good! Is that stock height or are you running any type of lift? I have a 98' limited I just picked that is very similar to yours but is the pearl white color.

Thank you. It's stock height, actually less in the back right now but I have these waiting to go in,

just waiting on some warrior shackles and it'll get a TT as well.

I love loading up and getting into the middle of nowhere, the Rigid Duallys sure help setting up camp and cutting firewood in the dark.

Love the scenic shots man.

Looking forward to this.

Thanks man, there's a lot of cool trails and back roads around here.

Lunch in the back country right next to Banff.

On a look out looking back up the valley we just went up and down.

Yeah, your pictures are pretty good for sure. Keep them coming! :D

I'd sure like to explore that area some day. (sighs)

Me too. Unfortunately KY is a long way home from there lol.

Thanks guys, come up for this TTC style contest I help put on in August, then I'll take you exploring after.

Hard Grass Havoc.

These pics are from a year and a half ago right before my good friend and his girlfriend drove this 1981 BJ 42 all the way to Ushuaia on the southern tip of South America and back, it took them just over a year and I was very jealous.

This is another really fun trail near Calgary that heads up to a nice mountain lake, it started raining really hard on us on our way up.

Sloppy hills and lots of water.

The rain made some of the steep climbs interesting but the Explorer never skips a beat.

Exploring and Cruising.

Sure is a fun trail.

The rain stopped just in time to cook up some chili dogs at Margaret lake.

We took a harder trail on the way out and managed to only get stuck once but the camera batteries died and I forgot extras, to bad because it would have been some nice pics.

This is a trail in southern Alberta that runs in the valley right along the continental divide with lots more trails coming off of it, there is even a couple trails that go over the divide into B.C. We'll do more exploring down here this summer and more into the B.C. side.

Like I said, I hope you guys like pics.

This arm of the trail has lots of water crossings.

This part of the trail is a decommissioned logging road so some of the creek crossings are interesting, the pics don't do this crossing justice.

Come on down man, we can go exploring or camping anytime (we like winter camping too). I really want to do some exploring around the Rocky/Nordegg area so that's closer to you.

ill take you up on the offer, me and the old man like to go camping around rocky and i bet their are some really good trails up there. i would need a few things to make my machine off road ready (avm hub broke on me the other day).

Sounds good, it looks like there are a lot of cool spots in that area. I've been researching some routes in S.W. Alberta And S.E. B.C. that look really interesting as well.

Here's some pics from when my Brother joined us on the trail that goes up to Banff in his '05, 3500, srw, Cummins on 35's.

Had some fresh snow on the way in.

Not much for views this day but the fresh snow is nice.
One of the river crossings on the way in, trust me it's just this side of the trees.

We dug a quick path so we weren't cutting firewood with snowshoes on. Karma the Pit bull is always there to help.

Cooking some hot dogs on the side of the trail on our way out as Karma gets comfy in the back of our truck. This is looking back down the trail from the way we came in.

Gotta love a warm lunch in the back country. This is looking west to Banff after we came back down the trail.

Rallying down the trail on the way out, this trail is a lot of fun all year but the snow makes it that much better.

I figured if anyone was going to need a tug it would be us but the Cummins needed a little one and the Explorer made short work of that.
Explorer 1 - Cummins 0...

Some celebratory donuts were needed back at the trail head...

How'd the cummins do in comparison to the explorer?

I will tell you right now, I can tell a huge difference between my 06 Dodge 3500 dually, the explorer, ranger, and jeep grand cherokee. The weight difference makes the smaller rigs just do so much better in the snow, theres just no two ways about it.

I have to have offroad tires on the dually just to be close to the others even with them on street tires. A lightweight truck or suv on good offroad tires, just eat the snow up like nothing.
