Any windshield LED light bars?

Planing to ditch the roof lights on roof rack. They fit the theme of the truck, but they're old outdated tech, (1 bulb is out) and I have to pull them on and off all the time to go in and out of the garage.

I was looking at just mounting similar lights but in LED.

This doesn't solve my height issue however.

Plan 2.0 was a LED 40" Bar and move it over the windshield similar to jeeps and the full size crowd as done.

We're no moving to plan 3.0

This will be a set of three 12-14' LED light bars over the windshield. The center will stationary, and the outer lights will sit back a bit from the middle, and be able to adjust to the curve of the windshield, for more coverage of the horizon. The lights will be mounted to a curved piece of tube. Never see this set up.

I'd like to hear any feed back and I'm looking for mounting ideas.

That lightbar is just temporary, right??

Just seeing how they lined up width wise. I was going to actually use that tube, but now I'm thinking of using some 1x3 trimmed down. I just needed the lights before I could start mocking the rest up. Need to make some cardboard pho lights so I don't break the real one's:(

Curious how you end up mounting it. I just bought a curved 50" and am still trying to figure out the cleanest way to mount it. Wound like to keep the top of the light even with the roof like you had mentioned earlier.

I think I about have mine figured out. Just need to bend the piece of tube I have. My one issue with going through the roof like I have planned is the roll cage. Going to make it interesting to get to.:(

This is what I have so far. There will be a wedged piece in the middle holding it all together. Tube will sit farther back then in picture

looking forward to seeing it done

Moved the brackets around a bit and this is what I ended up with. Everything is tacked in place, just have to get the light tabs and I'm also going to move the cb antenna up there I think.

I'll cut the extra off the ends weld the new light tabs, then remove the whole thing weld everything fully, clean up some areas and paint. Install will include clear silicone and o rings on the bolts to seal it weather tight. Then wire it up;)

Here is a better look at what the light bar looks like before the final welding and paint.

Moved the CB antenna to the light bar. It's on a single pivot locking bolt with a nylon washer. You simply pull the hitch pin and twist the antenna up and replace the hitch pin.

That came out great, Stic!

That's pretty sweet. I like it.

As far as the CB antenna, I have a 4 foot Firestik on my fender and it hits just about every tree in the forest and fills the interior with pine needles. I'm moving mine to my front bumper as soon as I get my winch installed.

Incredible work Stic. Love it.

That looks awesome. Did you bolt it through the roof and secure it from the underside?

Why not just get a curved light bar that fits the width of the windshield?

What size curved light bag and what mountings would you suggest for my 2001 ford explorer sport trac?

Forgot to update this. Some wondered why I left a extra inch or two on the ends, vs going flush. One word: GoPro
