2004 explorer leaking oil

my wifes 2004 4x4 explorer has a rubber hose hanging out the bottom. It seems to be coming from the transfer case area and has a red colored oil leaking out of it. It must have got pulled loose and was wondering if anyone knew where it went or what it was.thanks

Thats what I was thinking, when the oil gets hot enough it expands and has to relive somewhere.But a picture would be nice :salute:

yep,it was the transfer case breather hose. Took it to my mechanic and he simply attached it back where it belongs. He also said that it would leak some fluid with it hanging down.thanks for the replies.
