My goodness!

Excellent compilation! Shouldn't this be posted somewhere permanent? (Or is it and I just posted in a no post zone again?

....how did you get into this secured area...:shifty_ey

...j/k, i put this together just last night as there had been several questions on paint colors the last few days...if you see a thread with a thumbpin on it, it is permanent and called a sticky...this will probably be made a sticky ;)

I would think that a lot of those are clearcoat. Or do I really just have single stage paint? (YZ Oxford White).

...don't quote me on this but i believe some colors are made with clearcoat and some, the clearcoat is seperate...

Does anyone have instructions on how to do WF White Pearl (Tri-Coat)? I know how to pain for the most part...My Dad owns a fencing company and shairs a shop with a failmy friend who owns a paint shop...So I have all the stuff to pain but I dont know jack about Tri-Coat anyone got some instructions?

Since Pearl is a Tri-Coat I just called to get a price on what a pint will coast me...A pint is all I need.

Rember to make a pearl pain you need to paints to make one color...
$54.95 per pint...$109.90 w/o discount in all...

$43.95 per pint...$87.90 w/ my family discount in all...

$87.90 is not a bad deal to clean my truck up a bit :)

Now I just need to know how to do Tri-Coat.

...dumb question but couldn't you ask the family friend that owns the paint shop...

Tri coat, spray the base, spray the pearl, spray the clear

Momento, compai...

He's a family friend not my friend. I think hes a D**k...I just would use his paint booth when hes out of town...

Oye, permitame por favor, de donde es usted?

la risa??

Diganos compai, aver... ;)

...This is AMERICA....I shouldn't have to press '1' for English....

Ryan

You shouldn't?

Soapbox time - No big deal, let it ride. Some of us speak more than one language, and no harm, no foul... But if you don't speak Spanish or Spanglish, just pick up a little or don't. America is beautiful, and we all help to keep it that way :usa:

No one is saying anything out of line, so MAF and SAS, IAC, CAI, when I don't understand I just read until I do - my choice. But that's why I'm here, to learn. So, mi pana, it's just another language..

And where were you when we were speaking French and Romanian? :usa:

...and now, back to the paint color questions...

Depending on what/where you're painting, you may (probably) have to blend it. And you must take off all the parts attached to the panel you're painting. If you're not proficient at this, you have a good chance of ruining your finish !

I guess that just goes to show me me how old my truck is.

My paint code and name are 'ER' - 'Dark Cranberry Metallic'

The sun has turned it into just plain PURPLE.... That's right! Because of the sun, i now drive the Barneymobile....
