96 transfer case

Hello, I have a 96 4.0 auto explorer transfer case that needs replaced I don't know if it's a BW-1354 or not. There are a series of numbers on the tag F57A-CA,F05G1,589607,4405-07. What is this and will a 97 ranger 4x4 t-case work on it? And or what years will work? Also will a bad downstream O2 sensor cause my engine to misfire and act like it's out of time ? Thanks

Your Transfer case is a bw 4405. It has the same transfer case as my '97 control trac 4wd. I think one from a '97 ranger would fit but if you don't go with the same transfer case that's in your explorer you may run into a wiring problem or front driveshaft.

Front driveshaft output is different. You need one from a 95-02 explorer or 98 and up ranger I believe.
