I've got a Valentine One that I put in my wife's Explorer when we go on long trips. It sometimes gets triggered by other cars' laser-based cruise controls (Lexus and Infiniti come to mind. Some Volvos, too). Has anyone had any experience with the adaptive cruise and a radar detector?

my escort 9500XI hasn't been set off by adaptive crusie

but it will go off on K band, with low signal when I get in the blind spot cone of some cars with blind spot monitoring.

notably so far they've all be GM products - so I'm sure it's a frequency they picked sort of issue.

I have to image your Valentine 1 will have many false reporting issues. I'd suggest looking for any software patches and updates they might office for the unit - I understand there are quite a few.

I will also say - I'm somewhat intrigued that after what 10 years escort now launched a detector that uses direction arrows.

Not sure about Ford, but Chevy and Mercedes vehicles have set my 9500 off a lot. And it sucks driving a PIU, since you're doing the speed limit thinking there's someone running traffic nearby, and the arsehole in the Benz thinks you're a cop and paces next to you
