posi in an awd escape????

05 ford escape
has anyone fused the spider gears in the rear pumpkin on an awd escape to make it into a posi rear end? I want to eliminate the one wheel action for rougher trail riding.

I can't see locking the rear diff in that to be a good idea. I doubt the shafts/CVs are designed for that kind of stress.
 






I forgot they were IRS... Todd has a good point.

I take it no one makes a locker for it?
 












that looks promising, I wonder if it will fit? What would I use to to determine that?
 












so 01-early 05 escape with the selectable 4wd has a limited slip rear diff according to vehicle codes. I need to see if i can put one of these in my late 05 with non-selectable 4wd. Not sure if the casing is the same in all years,

ill keep you posted.
