When I turn the key to the on position right before starting up the motor, I see "low oil pressure" in the display where the odometer is. Does that mean I need an oil change or what could be the cause of this message. Thank you

If the engine is not running it will not have oil pressure. As for an oil change, check your mileage.

I am going in this week for an oil change, I have always seen that message when I turn the key to that position, is there something else that you would recommend, maybe oil pump(cost?) oil pressure sensor? (cost?)

In other words, this is normal.

You aren't going to have any oil pressure, if your engine isn't running. When you turn your key to "ON" you are just engaging the ignition module. As long as you're engine is running and you aren't having the light pop on, there's no cause for alarm.

Your dash also has an oil pressure gauge, it should be just above the halfway mark when the engine is running.

Ok! Thanks alot you guys,
