I have a 1997 Explorer Limited that has cassette radio with factory CD changer under the center armrest. I've been noticing that my powered antenna has been going up as the radio turns on itself as the power button is off. I suppose the radio has seen the better days.

My question is... if there is no factory radio to replace with... will the aftermarket radio will work with factory cd changer if my hearing friends wants to use the CD to listen to?

Thanks.

To put it simply. No. The CD changer won't work with an aftermarket deck.
If it's only the antenna that's bothering you, why not leave it up constantly.

That's what I thought. Antenna doesn't bother me, but didn't notice it went up not long ago.

You should be able to find the exact same radio you have on eBay

I could try to look it up... appreciate you both for reply.
