code p1131

I changed valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets on my 2002 Explorer with a 4.0. I get everything put back together and the truck idles great. Ten minutes later the truck starts skipping while in park and you can drive the truck with no problem till you come to a light. So i plug in my scanner and I get a code of p1131 but no engine light comes on. Has anyone else had this issue and I know what the code is but I am at a loss for why I got this code.

P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch-Sensor Indicates Lean-Bank No. 1\

Any chance you accidentally loosened a sensor plug somewhere in the area surrounding where you were working? Did you triple-check that everything got plugged back in? Can you verify that you properly installed the gaskets you replaced?

I will triple check the connections again. I may have to take the intake off just to verify the gaskets are ok,but they should be fine.

Problem solved. It turned out one of the electric connectors on the back of intake had two rubber spacers in it so it could not connect properly.
