Help needed with replacing power antenna mast

I am a noob here and I have searched, but I cannot find out how to remove the black plastic base that is on the outside of the fender. How do I get this off?

It's simply held by a few (three if memory serves) tabs. Stick your hand underneath, and squeeze them in -- very carefully. Unfortunately, be prepared for one or more to break because the plastic gets brittle with age.

Use a little screw driver, that can help.

The mast itself is just screwed into the base. Comes off easy.

The base needs to be unbolted from the underside of the fender though.

Bolts inside the fender hold the base on. Then the black plastic can pop off, just like mentioned above.
