Dk Exp Stereo problems.

Hello!

I am new here but i see there are a lot of Ford Explorer fans. I just bought new car audio Alpine cda-9847. I am trying to connect it but when i do there is no sound. The radio is tuning and the cd is turning, but no sound is coming out. I just put back the old JVC and it is working, so no wire problems, i guess.

If anybody can help will be great.

Thank you!

Here is some more info: I connected another speaker to the Alpine wires and it is working perfectly. What the problem might be then with car speakers?

Based on what you're saying, You have an alpine deck that you want to put in. and you put it in and it doesn't work. but you put your old deck in and it works. I think you're wiring something wrong when you put alpine deck in, if the speakers work out of the truck, and the other deck works in the truck, there has to be something defective with the deck or there is user error on wiring. i would check any fuses that are on the deck and re-check your wiring.

Hello, Justin!

I checked everything and i just don't understand what is going on. When i power supply the deck it is tuning the radio stations, but there is no sound. When i connect the wires to external speaker the sound is coming out. And when i connect the old JVC all the speakers are working. Where can i get wire scheme of the vehicle so i can check again what the problem might be?

Thank you!

There is one connector with two splitters after it. I was trying to connect the new deck to that wires according to the wire scheme, but it didn't work. So when the sun is up i will try to connect the deck wires before the connector and the splitters.

what year is your truck?

On the alpine make sure you are connecting the "remote" lead (blue/white) to the remote lead to the car. To me it sounds like you have what is called a "smart harness" where its a plug that goes to on the factory plug, then to a "universal" plug then to the jvc plug (no connections like solder or crimps) The wire you want to tap on to will most likely just be blue if this is the style of harness.

Solved!

As you told me i connected the "remote" wire and the speakers came to life. I neglected it before cause there was no remote wire coming out from the JVC. Everything is working now i and the sound is great.
The www.the12wolt.com helped me very much as well.

I THANK YOU ALL for the fast response and the quality information.
