95 Explorer Radio Power fades

Hello Explorer Lovers !
95 Radio power is fading at start up
I had the dash apart somewhat fixing AC
Put it back , lost Radio Power
It is strong at startup , then fades , to very low
Help and thanks

Hmm, that's odd.
By radio power do you mean the output volume or the display brightness?

Sounds like a ground issue though.

All I did was move the Radio around a little when looking at AC system , disconnected no wiring …… sometimes it stays at full volume for only a few minutes , other times it may maintain full volume for ten minutes give or take ………
then dies to barely Audible ……..
Have no clue
 






Check the connections at the back of the radio. Something may be loose. Other than that, the radio is probably just crapping out and it's a coincidence. :p

I just looked at main power distribution fuses
One small 30 amp was blown
Turned on Radio , played only a few minutes , will check tomorrow

Then the radio is shorting out somewhere after that fuse. You tap power connections anywhere?
 






Replaced that 30 amp fuse in power distribution box
Seems to have fixed it
Have only tried it for 10 minutes , but thanks
I think it is Fixed ………..
Seems that just moving wiring harness around while radio on blew the fuse
