Just trying to picture it. Is everything still in stock locations as far as throttle, sensors, etc.? Will my air intake tube also fit around as well? I also see a 90 degree tube on the top of the outlet which I don't remember on a stock unit. If it is a direct swap I may be interested if it's still available in the next week or two. I'll let ya know then.
everything that is stock will bolt onto it. the stock intake tube might be a little squeeze but it will fit. the throttle cable, and bracket will fit on with out any issue. the metal tube you see on the throttle body is for the oil breather tube on the valve cover for the mustangs (ours goes from the oil filler neck to the rubber intake tube, you can use a plug to plug it off and it will be fine). unlike a bbk throttle body (which i did have on my truck for a total of a week because it was a total pos) this one does not "whistle or hum". the only thing you might have to change depending on the year of your truck is the tps plug. i believe 96-97 trucks have a round plug vs. 98 and up have a square plug. you can change either the plug end on the tps, the engine harness, or both (i used a 4 wire trailer light plug because they are waterproof) and i used this thread for the wiring. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195502&highlight=tps+plug
this throttle body did come off a explorer that i bought for my 347 swap. i have a 75 accufab on my truck, therefore i dont need this one, otherwise i would be using it.
