00 and American Racing Wheels

I'm reasonably sure the answer is yes, but I can't find a definite answer.

I'm planning to buy a set of 16x8 American Racing AR172 Baja for my Explorer. I recently bought new tires and would like to keep them. Will my stock tires fit on the AR wheels? I'm assuming the AR wheels also have the correct backspacing and offset for the Explorer as well?

Thanks for advice and direction :)

Should fit. My '02 Sport Trac has American Racing AR321 Series 16x8, with 12mm offset and by one source 4.50 backspace. It's out of production, so it's hard to find accurate numbers on it. What I remember from looking it up before, the 12mm offset is correct, and I'm pretty sure the 4.5 backspace is too. There's not a lot of clearance between the inside of the rim and steering components, but enough. I'm running stock size 235-70-16 tires.
