Going back to OEM H/U from aftermarket. HELP!!!

Picked up my new truck this weekend (1996 Explorer Limited) with a few perks but nonetheless an outstanding truck with low miles. I had a 1997 Explorer CD/Cassette radio lying around that I wanted to swap out with the current Pioneer aftermarket single-din head-unit that was in the truck. After re-splicing the factory cables where they go, the H/U wont light up. Am I missing something? Does the Explorer Limited need a special radio? I believe this one came from an XLT. below are some pics. Thank you!

If you have/had a subwoofer in the back panel, you cannot use that head unit. You need a JBL head unit, which is what was in just about all Limited Ex's.

Thanks, I will search for one on eBay! I will post results if this fixes the problem

Why are you going back to stock anyways? Seems like a lot of work for no reason

Never been a fan of aftermarket radios. It was actually easy. Just had to pull all the aftermarket wires and reconnect factory amp and "brain" in the rear panel.
