no brake lights

1986 ranger brake lights come on if you use pliers to press the switch. New master cylinder recently installed. You can see that the switch is not pressed upon when the peddle is pressed. The nylon bushing on the post that the brake switch rides on is worn. Could that give enough play that the switch is not activated? Where would you buy a new bushing? Or could the new brake push rod on the rebuilt master cylindar be the problem?

I would replace the worn bushing,probably a dealer item, then adjust the switch.
