Hi gang,
I'm new to this site and rely on the experience of knowledgable replies. This seems like a great resource.
I've recently purchased an '00 Mountaineer. Great SUV with a few issues left to tackle.
First: I was fixing both power seats and one was an easy power switch repair, the other needs a new switch which I'll install tomorrow. I blew the fuse once and replaced it. However, another problem cropped up after blowing the power seat fuse. Now, my power mirrors don't work and they did beforehand. The 7.5Amp fuse in position #1 blew. Replacing this fuse did not fix the problem. Then, I checked voltage to this fuse position and I'm getting zero Volts. The fuse box isn't receiving power to this fuse only. Everything else works. So, where is this fuse position fed from?
Second: The radio and message center (not the overhead info) both are not illuminating. All other instumentations are well lit. Are these seperate issues or somehow tied together?
Any constructive advise is appreciated.
Bruce
