91 Ranger 2.9 Distributor Cap Removal

Went to do general maintenance. Purchased cap, rotor, plugs, wires etc. To my surprise I found I can't remove distributor cap. It's located on the rear of the motor in the center. I asked another motor head and he said I need to loosen two of the transmission mount bolts and jack up the motor about an inch. That will give me the room I need. Anybody know of any other R+R procedure?

You might not get a response in this section of the forum because the 91-94 Explorers only came with a 4.0 motor that used a DIS (Distributorless Ignition System) so they don't have a cap.
