Got a 98 Explorer, the A/C qiut working, upon troubleshooting found the compressor clutch bearing came apart. I bought a new clutch and installed it while the compressor was still installed in the truck, now it makes a grinding noise when the clutch does engage, but it doesn't always engage. Could this be a freon low problem, or did I screw it up installing it. I will say the new clutch came with 5 washers of different thickness and I'm not sure where they go. Had no problems with the A/C prior to clutch bearing going out. Thanks for your help
