Here's some more wheeling shots.

This is the trail into our "secret" camping spot in the valley below the Continental divide.

Exploring more trails north of the Crows Nest Pass.

Another creek crossing where the bridge has been removed.

This sure is a beautiful area to explore.

Great car and great pictures. :)

I finally got around to installing the new leaf springs I've had sitting around since November, it looks so much better now. They should settle in nicely on the week long back country camping trip in S.W. Alberta and S.E. B.C. We leave on tomorrow.

I was really surprised how easily most of the old hardware came apart, I had been planning on cutting it all out.

I got the U-bolts trimmed nice and close.

After just cutting the first U-bolts off, I thought I'd see if the second set would unbolt and they did.
You can see I had to flip the spring pin too.

The front spring bolts came out easily which I wasn't expecting at all (this truck see's lots of winter highway miles) and the only the rears were seized in the sleeves, I cut those out with the grinder.

It was 33*C (92*F) that day and much hotter in the ally so I was looking forward to seeing how it would look.

Success! It looks so much better now!!!
We'll let it settle out and do shackles and a TT...
Then 33's...

Now it's time to pack for the trip, we leave in the morning.

The truck worked great for a week in the back country again.
The new springs ride so much better, this truck loves to rally the back roads and tackle a little mud too.

The before shot.

Finally off the pavement.

After a few hours on gravel we were at the trail head.

Setting up camp.

Yeah I bring my trimmer, lol.

On our first wood run.

Camp.

How tall does that roof rack stick up off the roof? Or a guess a better way to phrase that is: how tall is the rack by itself?

The rack it's self is 4.5" tall overall and the top sits 8.5" from the roof mounted.

Here's some more pics from the summer.

The light covers doing their job, I love the green too.

My girlfriend is getting pretty good on the saw, I love watching other people cut wood (I do most of it so I get to say that lol).

My girlfriend's son getting some practice in with his saw.

It was around 100*F this day so this glacier fed creek was very refreshing.
