2001 Ford Explorer V8 AWD

I'm not looking forward to selling my truck already, as I've only had it two months, but I'm looking towards going to a different style project. Its a 2001 with a 5.0L V8 3.55 gearing. It has a torsion twist a shackles sitting on brand new 31's. The truck has only ever been off road once. I knew the 2nd owner, and the first was a rental. I've had the truck two months and have loved it. Sadly it isn't all what I want and need. I think I'm going for either a truck or a Jeep. It blue books at $6200.

The good:
110k miles
Torsion twist, shackles
Almost NEW 31" Falken Rocky Mountain tires.
Newer front end suspension parts (ball joints, tie rods, etc)

Not so good:
It has a slight leak in between the transmission and t-case. I have the gasket for it.
The front diff has a slight seep as well.

I want to get $5500 out of it. I'm pretty firm on the price. Its in amazing shape. Call or text me at 801 710 0321. If I do not answer, leave me a voicemail and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Located in Ogden.

No big rush to sell it. I really don't mind keeping it if it comes down to it. It'll just take more work to do what's needed.

I don't want it to go to the hands of a non EF member.

What kind of pics are you needing to see? Interior, motor, underneath?

Hate to be Debbie Downer but I don't think you're going to get anywhere close to $6000 for it. Especially since it's not an EB or limited. I will say it looks to be in pretty good shape.

I've priced it for my area. The V8 with AWD in good condition goes for about this price in Utah. Considering two months ago I paid $6000 for it, and I've put new tires and a lift on it as well as cleaned it up, I think 6,000 is fair.

Wow. I should buy up explorers here and sell them there. From a private party here, similar explorers go for 3500-4000. Even dealers don't get 6k for V8s here.

I should wait until winter. 4wd/AWD go up in price nicely.

EDIT: Actually I had to talk the dealership I bought my X from down about $2000.00

I don't remember there being a winter when I was in Ogden! Just a bunch of people bundling up in heavy coats during light sweater weather

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Thanks! It is indeed a nice truck. Just had a professional install a new center console cover bought from an EF vendor!
