P1120 Code

I have been getting a P1120 code. Had it checked at autozone. They said it was a dealer fix.....

What is the code. the reader said something about air fuel metering.....P1120

I think it has something to do with the TPS sensor...

I replaced the IAC 7000 miles ago

I have a 1998 EXP XLT with the 4.0 SOHC, 108,000 ,4X4

Please help me fix it or do I need to go to dealer?

4L OHVs are famous for dirty maf sensors, you might try cleaning it with some contact cleaner. The wire that needs to be cleaned is inside, be careful not to spray it directly (breaking it is not a good thing).

This is a throttle position sensor problem... voltage too low. Check the connections (frayed wires etc)and check the sensor for freedom of movement/ corrosion etc. There are a series of checks you can do for proper operation, but likely using tools (breakout box etc) you do not have....or replace the sensor if you want to take the gamble.
