Elite Explorer Avatar Info

Elite Explorers! You can now change your own avatars!! The limit is 90x90 pixels and 6k for a file size. I was able to keep all the old avatars in the 3-4k range so the 6k limit should be fine.

Also... Elite Explorers can now change the info under their usernames.

There are rules about these new features.

#1. No animated gifs for Avatars!!
#2. Avatars must be of your Explorer, Mug Shot, or other AUTOMOTIVE related photos. Our moderators will be on the look out for unacceptable avatars and will remove any that are offensive or that don't fit our guidelines.
#3. No offensive sayings in the info line under your avatar.

You can also upload a "profile picture" that can be 100x100 pixels and up to 10k.

Elite Explorers will also be able to store up to 200 Private Messages compared to 50 for a registered user.

There are other features that are only available to Elites so keep your eyes open

You can use the Stretch/Skew feature in MS Paint to resize.

This already needs a bump. There are already several Avatars that aren't following rule #2.

#2. Avatars must be of your Explorer, Mug Shot, or other AUTOMOTIVE related photos.

Pics of people other than yourself, random stuff, and animals are not allowed. Let's not mess this up. This is a priviledge I would like to keep.

Did you have someone specific in mind?

No one specific but yours was the first that made me think of it. I wasnt trying to point you out as breaking the rules. I was just trying to get an answer on how it stands for those who it applies to.

I liked my old avatar, but I like being able to change it whenever I want, so I will try to follow the rules.

If they already had it, it can stay.

What I'm trying to avoid is all the annoying, distracting, avatars that you see on so many websites.

Is there any way to change the info under your name and still keep the Elite Explorer? How do you get more than one line under your name?

Ahhh. The Grandfather clause.....I like it.

I can only think of 2 avatars that weren't of vehicles....Dogfriend and Terdrocket.

Hydroxy had a pic of Hokie up for a while, but it was already changed when the board moved...

Think of it this way...it still has to be the same quality as "Rick appproved", just without the pain of bothering Rick

I personally can't stand avatars that make no sense whatsoever..OR ones that change daily...

Rick, I'm having some problems with cookies. I have to login every time I come to the site. Is this just a problem on my computer or is everyone having this problem?
