Canon Powershot S1 IS
Has anyone tried one of these? Steve's Digicams gives it a good review, but I want some personal experiences. I played with one at Circuit City -- it has a 10X optically stabilized zoom (w-o-w), VGA video @ 30FPS with sound, and other goodies. However, it's only 3.2MP (if it was 4, I'd probably have purchased it) and $500.
Is it worth it? Is it a case of overpricing and I should wait a little? Any help is appreciated. And for those who are curious --> http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/s1is.html |

You only need a 4 megapixel for doing 13x19 pics or unless you crop alot. If you do mostly 4x6 and 5x7s then dont worry about it. I read a magazine with an 8x10 pic in it from a 2 mp camera and looked great. Going with picture quality from lenses, sensor, and build are the most important things to go by. Canon makes great cameras...ive been extremely happy with my G3. Hopes this helps you out.
